pregnancy, spring and a terrible disaster

As I sit here to update everyone, I am thinking about the last month and what we've done. As you know, I am in my 2nd trimester now and have mainly spent the last month being sick. Jason has been so amazing taking care of me and Paige. During the week, he comes home at lunch to check on us and makes sure Paige is being a good girl! :) She has been so wonderful as well. She helps around the house and in any way she can. She tells me all the time that when the baby comes out I will feel better. I love her.
Over the last week, Paige and I have been trying to make a trip back to Arizona...with no luck. The last couple days have been even harder due to the major earthquake in mainland Japan. We watch the news daily and are still in disbelief of what has happened there and all of the damage. Here in Okinawa, we felt nothing at all. That night and into the next day we were in a tsunami warning, but nothing happened. We are very thankful that we are ok, but we are praying for those on mainland that are not. There have been several troops from Kadena sent to help in the relief efforts. Jason is on alert and they are ready should they be called to go help. Please keep everyone involved in your prayers. It's very devastating!
We are doing well here and are anxiously awaiting summer and getting in some much needed beach time. Spring is in the air and we have all the windows open and feel a nice breeze and the birds singing! We are so blessed!

Well, it's 2009! Where has the time gone? We are looking forward to a great year!
Paige, 17 months now, is the joy of our lives! She is so much fun and everyday makes us smile and laugh. She is growing up so much and talking more and more! It's getting colder now, so we have to play inside alot. Her sandbox sits empty for the winter. Soon enough, it will be spring and we will be out and about! We are planning on planting a garden - she will love being in the dirt. It will be a great outdoor activity!
Jason is still traveling back and forth to Phoenix, which is a long drive for him, but he and I are so thankful that he has a good job! He is currently involved in our church's Men's Fraternity and is the director of our AWANA's TREK (junior high) group (as am I). We are also involved in a young families group as well.
I am still staying at home and enjoying the precious time I have with Paige. I also babysit my friend's little boy as well. They are great friends already! :)
We are planning for more children, and are sure it will happen in God's time! We are so thankful for all of His provisions in our lives! HAPPY 2009!
